During my childhood I lived with a wandering band of gypsies. Our little troupe traveled around the NW performing for small towns, and occasionally cities. During my stint with the gypsy gang I trained grizzly bears and eventually graduated to juggling fire while atop the trapeze. But, alas: I was not happy. I knew I wanted to be an artist, so I petitioned the King of the gang of gypsies to buy me a pack of colored pencils, or possibly even some crayons, but he refused. For years I had to use burnt twigs and crushed bugs to create my masterful artwork. Finally the gypsy king discovered my artwork, and I was banished from the troupe for drawing pictures of the gypsy life - which is very secretive. All my early works were burned and I was left penniless and alone in the City of Portland. Eventually I adapted to a modern way of life and bought my own art supplies. Since that time I have been commissioned for many custom pieces. My artwork has been published in the form of greeting cards, brochures, flyers, and characters in an upcoming roleplaying game. Although I have worked in many different styles, I would really love to create for children's books. At this time I am very new to the children's book industry, but I am up for any challenge. Please take a look around my portfolio, and if you like what you see and would like to know or see more, contact me. |
